Author, Photographer and Explorer

A little about me….

I was born in 1981 in a small town in the Philippines. I come from a family of farmers. In 1996, my family and I moved to Hawaii as we were petitioned by grandparents. I lived in Hawaii for more than twenty years, in the islands of Molokai, Oahu, and Maui. I attended the University of Manoa where I received a BA in Psychology and later worked for the Probation Department of the State of Hawaii as a Pre-sentence Investigator.

I had always been a dreamer. Growing up, I would imagine places I would visit. In late 2016, wanting change in my life, I embarked on international travel. A year later, I was able to visit 12 countries including the United States, exploring, hiking, taking pictures, attending yoga and meditation retreats, and volunteering. This time brought tremendous healing and growth. For many years, I battled with insecurities, finding purpose, and self-worth issues. Traveling gave me the space to reflect and the freedom to know more about me as a person rather than what society expected. The road taught me many lessons on what really matters– those of the mind, spirit, and heart. This exploration resulted in the book, Awakening to Love: Adventures of Self-Discovery through Travel, where I gave an account of my travels and what I learned about Love or being in the Soul’s space.

It is my everyday goal to be more aware and realize that inner fulfillment comes from a deep sense of gratitude for all that there is, as well as to live courageously and show up in the world just as I am. Currently, I work for a non-profit organization called Utah Community Action. As a teacher, I feel that I am given the opportunity to inspire curiosity and wonder in each young mind that is under my care. In my free time, I enjoy writing, reading and exploring the beautiful nature in Utah and the surrounding states.

Wherever you are in your journey, it is my wish that you be guided by your intuition, opening up more to love each day, always free to express your uniqueness.
